Position Description

We are looking for a talented Backend / Platform Engineer to join our team and assist with projects for our enterprise logistics software client.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with a passionate and professional team of engineers committed to building reliable, scalable, and secure software
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and engineering teams to design and build a cloud-based SaaS product for transportation management
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations in a microservices-based architecture
  • Build, manage, and support Kubernetes/containerized workloads on Azure
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to support repeatable, secure, and scalable deployments
  • Support IAM and identity integration patterns, including OIDC and SAML-based authentication and authorization
  • Participate in CI/CD workflow creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot production and deployment issues by reviewing logs, identifying root causes, and coordinating fixes with the team
  • Participate in on-call support and deployment captain rotation as needed
  • Contribute to software architecture, system design, resiliency, observability, performance, and maintainability improvements

 

Workplace:  This is a remote, full-time, long-term contracting role open to candidates in LATAM who are willing to support Central and Eastern timezone hours.

 

 

Must Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of practical experience in software development, including designing, building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications
  • Strong experience with backend development using Node.JS/TypeScript or similar modern backend technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and managing containerized workloads in production environments
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
  • Strong experience with IAM concepts and identity federation, especially OIDC and SAML
  • Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with SQL and working with relational databases
  • Experience with Azure cloud services
  • Comfortable troubleshooting application and infrastructure errors, investigating logs, and supporting production deployments
  • Experience participating in on-call support and deployment captain rotation
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and software architecture principles
  • Strong English communication skills

 

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to the logistics or transportation management industry
  • Experience with GraphQL APIs, Kafka consumers/producers, or event-driven architectures
  • React experience is a plus, but this is not a front-end-focused role
  • Azure Kubernetes Service experience is preferred
